How to make Kongu nadu ilai rasam [Mixed herb soup] video
Ingredients
- Mixed hearb[Tulsai, neem, murungai, thoothuvalai,manathakkali, mudakatham, curry leaves, agathi]
- Garlic – 3 cloves [crushed]
- Onion - 4 [small]
- Pepper - 1/2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Boiled toor dal - 1 ladle
- Salt to taste
- Tamarind - 1 inch piece
- Water – 1 ½ cup
Preparation
- Heat pan with oil cumin, coriander, pepper, onion, gigner, garlic, dry red chilli & mixed herbs saute
- Put it in a mixie jar finely gridn
- Heat pan, add 1 tbsp oil, mustard, curry leaves, hing saute
- Add ground mixture, tamarind water, alt, turmeric boil
- Once it ready, Serve hot with rice / millets.

Heat 1 tbsp oil, add all spices, onion, ginger, green chilli, saute
Add hearbs saute
Add tamrind
In a mixie jar add boiled toor dal
Add sauted ingredients
Finely grind
Heat oil, add mustard
Add curry leaves, turmeric
Add hing
Add ground mixture
Add thin tamarind water
Boil
Ilai rasam ready
