Ingredients

  • Corn flour -1 cup
  • Water- 3 cups
  • Jaggery - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder-1 tbsp
  • Pumpkin seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Pista, cashews, almonds - 2 tbsp
  • Ghee- 4 tbsp

Preparation

  • In a bowl add 1 cup corn flour, 3 cups water mix well without lumps
  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan add pumpkin seeds, nuts, roast then keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add jaggery, 1/4 cup water mix well, let it melt & cook till for 5 min
  • Add 1 tbsp ghee mix well.
  • Pour cornflour mixture, & stir continuously without lumps.
  • Add 2 tbsp ghee stir well till it thickens in low to medium flame for 15 min.
  • When mixture becomes thick, glossy & the mixture starts leaving the pan, then add cardamom powder & remaining ghee.
  • Add roasted nuts & cut off heat.
  • Pour the mixture into the ghee greased tray, evenly spread, garnish with pumpkin seeds, leave it for 1 hour till set
  • Then cut into desired shapes & serve
