Tofu malai kofta-Step by step photos and Video

Ingredients For Koftas
- Tofu– 1 cup [crumbled or grated]
- Potato [Aloo] – 1 [boiled, mashed]
- Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Corn flour – ½ tbsp
- Maida – ½ tbsp
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ¼ tsp
- kasoor methi - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
Method for making koftas
- In a mixie jar add crumbles tofu, mashed potatoes, and above mentioned ingredients then blend well to make soft dough.
- Then divide the dough in to equal size balls. Deep fry all balls till golden brown.
- Or place it in a appam pan, cook till crisp and golden brown
Ingredients Basic Gravy
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Onion - 1
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Garlic - 4
- Tomato -5
- Dry red chilli -2
- Cashew - 2 tbsp
- Water - 1 cup
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add all ingredients, saute for 3 min then add water boil for 5 min
- Then let it cool, put it in a mixie jar grind to fine puree
Ingredients for seasoning
- Butter / ghee -2 tbsp
- Bay leaf - 1
- Gree chilli -1
- Ground tomato mixture - 2 cups
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Kasoori methi -1 tbsp
- Sugar – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Butter – 1 inch cube
- Water as needed.
Method for curry
- Heat pan with oil & butter add bay leaves, & green chilli
- Add ground puree, Then add turmeric and red chilli powder mix well.
- Add coriander powder , garam masala powder, sugar and salt mix well.
- Once gravy is ready add koftas, kasoori methi, boil for 3 min
- Add chopped coriander leaves, and butter serve hot with basmati rice or chapatti.

Tofu malai kofta curry
Add 2 tbsp oil
Add onion, ginger, garlic, dry red chilli
Add cashews
Ad tomato
Add water, cook for 5 min
Let it cool, grind to fine puree
In a mixie jar add tofu
Add mashed potato
Add garam masala
Add red chilli powder
Add salt
Add kasoori methi
Add corn flour
Add maida
Add ginger, garlic, blend 1 time
dough ready
Divide the mixture into equal size balls
Tofu kofta ready
Put it in a mixie jar, finely grind
Heat pan add 1 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp ghee
Add bayleaf, green chilli
Add ground puree
Add water
Add turmeric powder
Add coriander powder
Add red chilli powder
Add garam masala
Add salt
Add sugar
Heat appam pan, place tofu kofta
Cook till crisp
Add koft and kasoori methi
Boil for 3 min
Tasty tofu malai kofta ready
Serve hot with naan, rice, v\chapathi
