Ingredients

  • Walnut - ¼ cup
  • Cashews - ¼ cup
  • Almonds - ¼ cup
  • Pistachio - ¼ cup
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder –1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp
  • Chaat masala powder– 1 tbsp
  • Asafoetida[Hing, perungayam]- 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves– 1 spring
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Heat pan add walnut, almonds, pista, cashews roast till crisp.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add curry leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, chaat masala, hing, & salt saute.
  • Add roasted nuts, mix well
  • Once its ready, let it cool, & store in an airtight container use within 5 days
  • Then Serve hot with curd rice, evening snack, tea or coffee

TIps & variations

  • You can add sesame, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, falx seeds etc.
  • You can deep fry nuts
  • You can add fried poha, fried sago, corn flakes, chutney gram
  • For mixture you can add sev & fried moong dal also
  • For caramel version:-Sugar, butter & cream or milk
