Ingredients

  • Poato[Urulaikizhangu] –3 [cut into cubes]
  • Onion – 1 [chopped]
  • Garlic – 1 cloves[mashed]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring
  • Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
  • Coconut - 2 tbsp [grated]
  • Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Asafetida a pinch
  • Urad dal – 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram - ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

Preparation

  • Boil potato, peel off the skin then cut into cubes
  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it crackle
  • Then add cumin seeds, urad dal & bengal gram saute
  • Add curry leaves & asafetida
  • Add onion, garlic, green chilli, & salt sauté well
  • Add boiled potato saute
  • Finally add coconut & coriander leaves sauté gently.
  • Cut off heat serve hot with chapatti, or rice
