Potato podimas | Urulai kizhangu podimas-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Poato[Urulaikizhangu] –3 [cut into cubes]
- Onion – 1 [chopped]
- Garlic – 1 cloves[mashed]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
- Coconut - 2 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram - ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Boil potato, peel off the skin then cut into cubes
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it crackle
- Then add cumin seeds, urad dal & bengal gram saute
- Add curry leaves & asafetida
- Add onion, garlic, green chilli, & salt sauté well
- Add boiled potato saute
- Finally add coconut & coriander leaves sauté gently.
- Cut off heat serve hot with chapatti, or rice
