Potato chilli roast | Urulai kizhangu milagai varuval-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Poato[Aloo, Urulaikizhangu] –3 [cut into cubes]
- Dry red chilli – 3
- Garlic – 5 cloves
- Coconut – 3 tbsp
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida[hing] – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Soak dry red chilli in warm water for 10 min.
- Peel off the potato skin then wash & cut into cubes
- Boil water in a broad pan add cubed potato, turmeric, red chilli powder cook till soft
- Heat oil in a pan add garlic, coconut & soaked dry red chilli roast then coarsly grind.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves & asafoetida.
- Add ground dry red chilli mixture & salt saute.
- Add boiled potatoes, salt saute till crisp.
- Cut off heat serve hot with chapatti, or rice

Soak dry red chilli in warm water for 10 min
Peel off the skin & wash
Cut into cubes
Boil potatoes with turmeric & red chilli powder
3/4 th cooking, add salt
Now its ready, drain excess water
Roast garlic
Add coconut , roast till light brown
Add dry red chilli, roast for a min
Put roasted ingredients in mixer jar, coarsely grind without water
Ground red chilli mixture ready
Heat oil, add mustard seeds, let it splutter
Add curry leaves & asafoetida
Add ground red chilli mixture, saute
Add salt mix well
Add boiled potatoes, saute well
Now its ready, cut off heat, serve hot with rice
