Poha potato balls | Potato poha croquettes-How to make-Step by step photos & video

Main Ingredients
- Potato - 2
- Poha[Aval, rice flakes]- 1/4 cup
- Ginger, garlic paste-1 tbsp
- Green chilli-1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Rice flour - 3 tbsp + 4 tbsp for batter
- Breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp + 1/4 cup for rolling
- Coriander leaves -2 tbsp[fienly chopped]
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Boil potato till soft then mash well.
- In a bowl add rice flour, water, make flowing consistency batter.
- Wash poha 2 to 3 times then keep it aside[Dont soak].
- In a bowl add poha, mashed potato, ginger, garlic, green chilli, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,rice flour, salt , breadcrumbs, coriander leaves, mix well, make soft dough.
- Keep the mixture in the refrigerator for 25 minutes to avoid stickiness while making balls
- Make lemon size ball out of the mixture.
- Dip each ball in the rice flour mixture & roll it in breadcrumbs.
- Make sure all the sides are rolled with breadcrumbs equally.
- Heat oil in a pan, Drop the balls, deep fry till crisp and golden brown.
- Once its ready, remove it from oil, drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce, chilli sauce or green chutney

Boil potato till soft
Let it cool then mash well
Take 1/4 cup poha
Wash 2 to 3 times
Add salt
Add mashed potato
Add red chilli pwoder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder
Add ginger, garlic, green chilli & coriander leaves
Add rice flour
Add bread crumbs
Mix well, make soft mixture or soft dough
Make balls out off the mixtrue
Raw potato poha balls ready
Dip in rice flour or corn flour mixture
Roll out in breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs coated aloo poha balls ready
Heat oil in a pan, drop prepared balls in oil
Deep fry till crisp & golden brown
Flip over fry both sides
Now its ready, remove it from oil
Crispy & healthy poha balls ready, serve hot with chilli tomato sauce
