Ingredients

  • Peanut [Moongphali, groundnut, nilakadalai]– 1 cup
  • Gram flour - 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour – 3 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Chaat masala powder– 1 tbsp
  • Asafoetida[Hing, perungayam]- 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water - 3 tbsp

Preparation

  • Heat pan add groundnut, roast for 5 min.
  • In a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, chat masala pwoder, asafoetida, red chilli, turmeric powder, salt & oil mix well
  • Add peanut & 3 tbsp of water mix well [dont add too much water].
  • Heat oil in a pan, sprinkle peanut mixture, deep fry till crisp & golden brown on medium hot oil.
  • Once its ready remove from oil & drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot with curd rice, evening snack, tea or coffee
