Ingredients

  • Leftover thinai upma– 1 cup
  • Gram flour- 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour – 3 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander leaves– 1 spring
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water as needed [3 to 4 tbsp]

Preparation

  • In a bowl add leftover thinai upma, gram flour, rice flour, salt, coriander leave, red chilli & turmeric powder mix well
  • Make soft dough. Divide the balls into equal size balls.
  • Heat oil in a pan, Add thinai balls, deep fry till crisp & golden brown on medium hot oil.
  • Once its ready remove from oil & drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot with tea or coffee
