How to make Crispy leftover idli pakoda video

Ingredients

  • Leftover idli– 2 to 3
  • Gram flour – 1/4 cup
  • Rice flour – 1/4 cup
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves –1 spring [chopped]
  • Coriander leaves– 2 spings [chopped]
  • Fennel seeds– 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water as needed [3 to 4 tbsp]

Preparation

  • Cut idli into cubes.
  • In a bowl add idli cubes, gram flour, rice flour, salt, fennel seeds, coriander leaves, curry leaves, asafoetida, red chilli & turmeric powder mix well
  • Sprinkle 3 tbsp water, mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan, sprinkle idli cubes, deep fry till crisp & golden brown on medium hot oil.
  • Once its ready remove from oil & drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot with tea or coffee
