Beetroot cutlet | Beetroot patties-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Main Ingredients
- Potato -2 [boiled, mashed]
- Beetroot - 1 [grated] or 3 tbsp
- Bread crumbs – ¼ cup
- Onion -1 [finely chopped]
- Gren chilli -1 [finely chopped]
- Ginger & garlic - 1 tbsp [finely choped]
- Coriander leaves - 1 spring [Finely chopped]
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Dry mango powder - 1 tsp or lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Garam masala powder– ½ tsp
- Corn flour –5 tbsp
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- In a bowl add all ingredients & salt mix well
- You can keep it in the refrigerator for 25 minutes to avoid stickiness while making balls or you can instantly deep fry.
- Make lemon size ball out of the mixture.
- Flatten & shape cutlet
- In a bowl add 3 tbsp corn flour, water mix well & make flowing consistency batter
- Dip each cutlet in the corn flour mixture & roll it in breadcrumbs.
- Make sure all the sides are coated with breadcrumbs equally.
- Heat enough oil in a pan then put prepared raw cutlet & deep fry till crisp & golden brown on medium hot oil.
- Once it’s ready remove from oil, drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with chilli sauce or green chutney
Tips & notes
- You can add finely chopped vegetables in filling mixture
- you can replace corn flour with rice flour for crispiness
- You can make balls, croquettes using this mixture.
- You can replace potato with sweet potato or semolina
- Dont fry these cutlet in high flame
- You can shallow fry cutlets
- Mixture is sticky add more bread crumbs, corn flour or refrigerate

Boil potato, Mash well
Add salt
Add red cchilli powder, garam masala power
Add dry mango powder
Add onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, ginger & galic
Add beetroot, corn flour & breadcrumbs
Beetroot cutlet dough is ready, you can refrigerate for better results
Make balls & flatten
Dip with cornflour batter
Roll over breadcrumbs
Heat oil, drop it, deepfry till and golden brown
Once its ready, remove from oil, drain on absorbent paper
Beetroot patties are ready serve hot with chili sauce or you can take with burger buns
