Main Ingredients

  • Potato - 2
  • Ginger, garlic -1 tbsp[finely chopped]
  • Green chilli-1 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Rice flour /corn flour- 3 tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves -2 tbsp[fienly chopped]
  • Sev-1/4 cup
  • Corn flour batter - 1/4 cup [mix 4 tbsp corn flour with 1/4 cup water mix well, make thin batter]
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation

  • Boil potato till soft then mash well.
  • In a bowl add corn flour, water, make flowing consistency batter.
  • In a bowl add mashed potato, ginger, garlic, green chilli, garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,corn flour, salt , breadcrumbs, coriander leaves, mix well, make soft dough.
  • Keep the mixture in the refrigerator for 25 minutes to avoid stickiness while making balls
  • Make large square out of the dough
  • Cut into squares.
  • Dip each squares in the corn flour mixture & roll it in sev mixture.
  • Make sure all the sides are rolled with sev equally.
  • Heat oil in a pan, Drop the potato squares, deep fry till crisp and golden brown.
  • Once its ready, remove it from oil, drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce, chilli sauce or green chutney
