Simple pattani sundal | Dried green peas-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Pattani [Dry geen peas]–1 cup
- Garlic – 1 cloves[mashed]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
- Coconut - 3 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- WAsh & soak dried green peas overnight or 8 hours
- Pressure cook soaked green peas for 4 whistles
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it crackle.
- Add garlic, green chilli, sauté till light brown.
- Add curry leaves, & coconut saute .
- Add turmeric & red chilli powder, sauté.
- Add boiled green peas & salt mix well
- Add coriander leaves sauté gently, cut off heat & serve hot with rice

Pattani dried green peas
Wash and soak overnight then boil in pressure cooker for 3 whistles
Heat oil add mustard, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves, coconut & turmeric powder saute
Add boiled pattani/ dried green peas
Add red chilli powder & salt
Add coriander leaves
Finally add coconut, cut off heat
Pattani sundal/ dried peas stir fry is ready
