Ingredients
- Sakkaravalli kizhangu[Sweet potato] – 1 [cut into cubes]
- Garlic – 1 cloves[mashed]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
- Coconut - 1 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash & slice sweet potato. Then steam it for 10 min.
- Peel off the skin & cut into cubes.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it sputter.
- Add garlic, green chilli, curry leaves sauté.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coconut & salt sauté.
- Add sweet potato cubes sauté / roast till light brown & crisp.
- Add coriander leaves sauté gently.
- Cut off heat serve hot with chapatti, or rice

Wash & slcie sweet potato
Steam it for 10 min
After steaming
Peel off the sweet potato skin
Cut into cubes
Heat oil, mustard, garlic, green chilli & curry leaves
Add hing[Asafoetida, perungayam]
Add red chilli powder & turmeric powder
Add coconut saute for a min
Add salt
Add sweet potato
Saute for 2 min
Add coriander leaves, cut off heat, serve hot with rice
