Ingredients
- Rajma [Red kidney beans]– 1 cup
- carrot - 1 [grated]
- Onion – 1 [chopped, For Navrathri Dont Add]
- Garlic – 2 cloves [finely chopped,mashed, [For Navrathri Dont Add garlic, Replace with ginger or asafetida or cumin seeds]]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Green chilli – 1 [chopped]
- Coconut - 2 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash & soak Rajma overnight then boil in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it sputter.
- Then add onion sauté till light brown.
- Add garlic, green chilli, curry leaves sauté.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coconut,& salt sauté.
- Add boiled Rajma sauté well.
- Finally add coriander leaves mix well then cut off heat, serve hot with tea, coffee, chapatti, or rice
