Ingredients

  • Moong dal [payatham paruppu]– ½ cup
  • Jaggery [Vellam]– ¼ cup
  • Green cardamom powder - ½ tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 7
  • Raisins - 8
  • Almonds [sliced] - 6
  • Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  • Dry roast moong dal.
  • Heat pan with ghee then roast cashew nuts, raisins and almonds keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add water, roasted moong dal & cook till soft [apr 15 to 20 min].
  • Heat another pan add jaggery & water stir well.
  • Once jaggery dissolved then filter & pour it into the moong dal mixture mix well.
  • Add ghee roasted cashew nut, raisins and almonds slices.
  • Finally add cardamom powder & cut off heat.
  • Serve hot or cold.
