Ingredients
- Chilli [Milagai, Mirchi]- 1
- Besan [gram flour, kadalai maavu] – 1 cup
- Rice flour – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
- Asafetida[Hing]- ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water - 3/4 cup
- Oil – ¼ ltr [for frying]
Preparation Method
- Slit chilli lengthwise then remove seeds. Then cut into thin stripes.
- In a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafetida, red chilli & turmeric powder mix well.
- Then add water mix well & make batter without lumps
- Heat oil in a pan, dip chillis in the prepared batter, drop it in oil, deep fry till crisp & golden brown both sides on medium hot oil
- Once its ready remove from oil, drain on absorbent paper & serve hot with tea or coffee.
