Ingredients
- Beetroot -2 [Cut into small stripes]
- Onion – 1 [chopped]
- Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
- Green chilli – 1 [sliced]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Mustard seed – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed let it crackle. Then add urad dal saute
- and onion, garlic sauté till soft.
- Add green chilli and curry leaves.
- Add Beetroot saute.
- Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder mix well.
- Add enough water let it cook till soft [Apr.3 min]
- Finally add coconut mix well. Cut off heat & serve hot with rice
