Avarakkai peerkangai poriyal- How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Avarakkai [broad beans] - 1/4 cup
- Peerkangai [ridge gourd] - 1
- Sambar onion – 5 to 6
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Green chilli – 1 chopped
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coconut – 3 tbsp [Grated]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Chana dal - 1 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1/2 tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Groundnut oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Heat iron casting pan add oil , add mustard seeds & let it splutter
- Add chana dal & urad dal fry
- Add curry leaves, asafoetida, sambar onion, green chilli & garlic sauté till soft.
- Add coconut saute for a min.
- Add avarakkai & peerkangai, turmeric powder, red chilli powder sauté for 3 min
- Add coriander powder mix well
- Add water, cook till soft.
- Then cut off heat & serve hot with rice.
