Ingredients

  • Urad dal - 1 cup
  • Pepper -1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring
  • Hing -1/2 tsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation Method

  • Wash & soak urad dal [black or white] for 8 hours. Then wash & drain water completely.
  • Put it in a mixe jar, coarsely grind without water
  • Transfer mixture to a bowl, add salt, rice flour, pepper, curry elaves mix well
  • Divide the mixture into equal size balls then flatten.
  • Heat enough oil in a pan deep fry both sides till golden brown & crisp on medium hot oil.
  • Then drain on absorbent paper & serve hot with tea or coffee.
