Ingredients

  • Pasta - 1 cup
  • Purple cabbage - ½ cup (cut into stripes)
  • Tomato - 1 [chopped]
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Dry Basil leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - ½ [sliced]
  • Garlic -2 cloves [chopped]
  • Red chili - 1 [chopped]
  • Green chilli - 1 [chopped]
  • coriander leaves - 2 tbsp [chopped]
  • Pepper powder - ½ tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Water as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - a pinch
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation

  • Heat cooker with oil then add onion, garlic sauté gently, then add green chilli, chopped tomatoes and add dry basils leaves.
  • Now add water and salt (Water level has to be just ½ inch above the sauté mixture). Once water boils, add pasta mix well then Cover it and cook for 3 whistles [don’t add too much water].
  • Heat the another pan add little bit oil and add chopped purple cabbage then sauté for 3 to 4 min. sprinkle salt and add cooked pasta.
  • Add dried basils, sugar, and tomato sauce, chopped coriander leaves cook it in low flame.
  • Add lemon juice, sprinkle pepper powder and cut off heat.
  • Serve hot with chopped red chilli.
