Purple cabbage chutney | Red cabbage chutney-How to make step by step photos

Ingredients
- Purple cabbage – ½ cup [grated]
- Samabr Onion – 6 [sliced]
- Dry red chilli - 3
- Garlic – 1 clove
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
- Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
For seasoning
- Mustard seeeds - 1 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Oil - 1 tbsp
Method
- Heat pan with oil then roast all ingredients.
- Cool it and put roasted ingredients, and salt in a mixer jar.
- Grind to fine or coarse powder or paste.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard let it crackle, then add urad dal, curry leaves fry then cut of heat
- Add seasoned ingredients into purple cabbage chutney then sprinkle gingelly oil & serve hot with rice.
How to make red cabbage chutney
Take half red cabbage
Saute chana dal, urad dal, red chilli, coriander, cumin
Roast coconut, garlic, onion
Red cabbage, turmeric saute for a min
Put all roasted ingredients in a mixier jar, finely grind
Red cabbage thogayal/chutney ready, serve with idli, dosa, roast or uthappam
