Ingredients

  • Kambu maavu [bajra flour] - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 1cup
  • Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Ghee- 1 tbsp
  • Ajwain - 1.5 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds -1 tbsp
  • oil for deep frying
  • Hing -1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder -1 tsp
  • Water as required

Preparation Method

  • In a bowl add rice flour, Kambu maavu [bajra flour], Gram flour , asafoetida, Ghee, salt, Ajwain, Sesame seeds , Red chilli powder mix well
  • Add water, make soft dough
  • Place handful dough in a murukku kuzhal, squeeze over the oil, deep fry till crisp on medium hot oil.
  • You can use 4 shapes.
  • Flip over & fry another side.
  • Once it ready or the oil sound disappears then take it out & drain on absorbent paper.
  • Leave it for room temperature [Apr. 2 min]. Then store in an airtight container
