Pori upma | Puffed rice upma-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Puffed rice[Pori] – 2 cup
- Onion – 2 tbsp
- Green chilli - 1
- Ginger - 1 tbsp
- Coconut - 1 tbsp [grated]
- Carrot - 3 tbsp [Finely chopped]
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
- Oil - 1.5 tbsp to 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Heat pan, add puffed rice, roast till crisp.
- Heat oil, add mustard, curry leaves, onion, ginger, green chilli, carrot, coconut,salt, turmeric & red chilli powder saute.
- Add puffed rice mix well.
- Add coraidner leaves then cut off heat.
- Serve immediately
Tips and variations
- Dont saute puffed rice for long time. It will lose crispiness
- You can add roasted gram & peanuts.
- You can add tomato, capsicum or cabbage
- You can add chilli, toamto, soya sauce for different flavour
- You can add sev, ribbon pakoda, fried papad, or chakli for more crispiness

Chop all ingredients finely
Heat pan add 2 tbsp oil, add mustard seeds, let it splutter
Add onion, curry leaves
Add ginger, coconut, carrot, green chilli
Add salt
Add turmeric powder
Add red chilli powder
Saute for 3 min
Add Puffed rice
Saute for a min
Now its ready, cut off heat
Serve hot
