Oats murukku | Oats chakli-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Oats– 1 cup
- Rice flour– 1/4 cup
- Gram flour – 1/4 cup
- Asafetida a pinch
- Butter– 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation Method
- Add pottukadalai in a mixie jar grind to fine powder.
- In a bowl add ground pottukadalai powder, rice flour, asafetida, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, salt, & butter mix well
- Then add water mix well, knead it & make soft dough [It should be soft & non sticky].
- Heat enough oil in a pan, take murukku mould plate then place it in a muruku kuzhal.
- Fill the prepared dough in a muruku kuzhal [one handful] & just press out or squeeze over the ladle & deep fry till crisp on medium hot oil.
- Flip over & fry another side.
- Once it ready or the oil sound disappears then take it out & drain on absorbent paper.
- Leave it for room temperature [Apr. 2 min]. Then store in an airtight container

Oats murukku ingredients
Dry roast oats for 2 min
Put roasted oats in a mixie jar, finely grind
Ground oats powder ready
In a bowl add oats flour
Add rice flour
Add red chilli powder
Add butter, salt, asafoetida
Add gram flour
Add cumin seeds
Mix well, add water and 1 tbsp oil, make smooth dough
Oats murukku dough ready
Put 1 handful dough in a murukku kuzhal
Squeeze over the ladle
Drop it in hot oil
Deep fry till crisp
Now its ready, remove it from oil
Drain on absorbent paper
Crispy oats murukku ready, store in an airtight container, use with in 1 month
