Left over rice murukku | Instant boiled rice chakli-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Boiled rice [Leftover / fresh]– 1 cup
- Gram flour[Besan, kadalai maavu]–1/2 cup
- Rice flour -1/2 cup
- All purpose flour / maida - 1/4 cup
- Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Green chilli - 1
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation Method
- In a mixie jar add, boiled rice, green chill, cumin, & salt grind to fine paste.
- In a bowl add ground rice, gram flour, rice flour, maida, asafetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, & ghee mix well.
- Knead it & make soft dough [It should be soft & non sticky].
- Heat enough oil in a pan, take star murukku mould plate then place it in a muruku kuzhal.
- Fill the prepared dough in a muruku kuzhal [one handful] & just press out or squeeze over the ladle & deep fry till crisp on medium hot oil.
- Flip over & fry another side.
- Once it ready or the oil sound disappears then take it out & drain on absorbent paper.
- Leave it for room temperature [Apr. 2 min]. Then store in an airtight container use with in 3 days

In a mixer jar add boiled rice[ leftover ro fresh]
Add salt
Add cumin seeds
Add curry leaves, green chilli
Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder
Add asafoetida
Grind to smooth paste without water
Now its ready
In a bowl add ground rice mixture
Add gram flour [chickpea flour, besan]
Add rice flour
Add maida, 1 tbsp ghee,m ix well, make soft dough
Murukku dough ready
Take star mold
Add handful dough
Squeeze over the plate
Stick the edge
Heat oil in a pan, drop it, deep fry till crisp and golden brown
Flip over fry both sides
Now its ready, remove it from oil
Take it out from oil
