Ingredients
- jeera rice - 2 cups
- Water- 3 cups or coconut milk- 3 cups
- Potato, beans, carrot -1 cup
- Mint, corainder - 1/4 cup
- Green chilli -1
- Onion - 1
- Ginger garlic -1 tbsp
- Tomato -2
- Curd -1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder -1/2 tbsp
- Garam masala -1 tbsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Cinnamon -1
- Cloves- 2
- Cardamom - 2
- Mace -1
- Star anise -1
- Bay leaf -1
- Marathi moggu - 1
- Fennel -1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil & ghee - 2 tbsp
Preparation Method
- In a bowl add 2 cups jeera rice, wash & soak for 10 min
- In a mixie jar, add ginger, garlic, mint , coriander, coarsely grind
- Heat pressure cooker add oil, ghee
- Add Fennel, star anise, bay leaf, clvoes, cardamom, marathi moggu, cinnamon, cardamom
- Add onion, green chill saute until light brown
- Add 3 toamtoes, saute until soft
- Add ground mint, coriander mixture
- Add red chilli, turmeric, garam masala powder
- Add 1 tbsp curd mix well
- Add 1 cup Beans, potato ,carrot saute for 1 min
- Add soaked rice mix well
- Add 3 cups of water or coconut milk, salt ,mix well, cook for 2 min
- Cover lid, cook for 3 whistles
- Once its ready, sprinkle, mint leaves, serve hot with raitha
