Karuppatti Sakkarai Pongal-How to make-Step by step photos & video

Ingredients
- Raw rice -1 cup
- Moong dal - 1/4 cup
- Karuppatti - 1.5 cup
- Cardamom powder -1 tsp
- CAshews, raisins -1 /4 cup
- Water -5.5 cups
- Ghee-4 tbsp
Preparation Method
- Wash and soak raw rice, moong dal for 10 min
- In a pressure cooker, add 4 cups of water, soaked rice, moong dal, ghee, cover lid, cook for 4 to 5 whistles
- Then gently mash
- Boil 1.5 cup karuppatti and 1.5 cup water, let it boil for 2 to 3 min
- Add karuppatti syup, ghee mix well, let it cook for 3 to 5 min
- Once its ready, add cardmaom powder, cut off heat
- For sesoning: Add 2 tbsp ghee, cashews, raisins, roast until golden brown
- Add roasted cashews, raisins, mix well then serve hot
