Kara pori | Spicy Puffed rice for kids-How to make-step by step photos

Ingredients
- Pori [Puffed rice] – 2 cup
- Roasted gram – 2 tbsp
- Ground nut – 2 tbsp [Roasted]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
- Asafetida – a pinch
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Dry red chilli – 1
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp [Ground nut / Coconut oil]
Preparation
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, let it splutter then add cumin seeds, & roasted gram sauté.
- Add garlic, curry leaves & Dry red chilli sauté.
- Add roasted Ground nut, Asafetida, Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder & salt sauté.
- Add Pori/ Puffed rice sauté till crisp.
- Then cut off heat & let it cool
- Store in an airtight container & use within 2 days.

Add coconut oil in a pan
Add mustard let it crackle then add garlic
Add cumin, curry leaves & dry red chilli
Add roasted gram, groundnut, turmeric& red chilli powder
Add puffed rice & salt
Mix well till crisp
Saute for 2 min
Spicy puffed rice is ready serve with tea
