Instant kadalai maavu kurma | Besan kurma-How to make-Step by step photos[Kongunadu style]

Ingredients
- Gram flour[Kadalai maavu, besan]– 3 tbsp
- Onion – 1 [sliced]
- Tomato – 1 [chopped]
- Garlic – 1 clove [mashed]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Hing– 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Method
- In a bowl add gram flour and 1/4 cup water mix well without lumps
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add onion & garlic sauté till soft.
- Add green chilli, curry leaves & tomato sauté till soft.
- Add gram flour mixture, 1 cup water, and salt mix well.
- Add turmeric, & red chilli powder mix well. Then add fennel seeds powder mix well & let it boil for 5 min..
- Once its ready, cut off heat add coriander leaves & Serve hot with idli, dosa or uthappam
How to make Kadalai maavu kurma -Step by step photos
Add 3 tbsp gram flour[Kadalai maavu, besan]
Add water, mix well without lumps
Heat 2 tbsp oil, add mustard, bengal gram, urad dal, green chilli, onion, asafoetida saute well
Add salt
Add tomato saute till soft
Add turmeric and red chilli powder
Saute till soft
Add gram flour mixture
Mix well
Add 1 cup water
Let it boil for 5 min
Now its ready, cut off heat
Instant kurama ready
Serve hot with idli
Besan kurma for idli, dosa or uthappam
