Instant mullu murukku | Easy star chakli-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Rice flour [Arisi maavu, chawal ka atta ] – 1 cup
- Roasted gram flour [Pottukadalai maavu]– 1/4 cup
- Gram flour - 1/4 cup
- Cumin seeds [jeera] – 1 tbsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Ghee– 1 tbsp
- Hot oil - 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt to taste
- Hot or Warm Water as needed
Preparation Method
- In a bowl add rice flour, roasted gram flour,gram flour, asafetida, cumin seeds, salt, hot oil & butter mix well
- Then add warm or hot water mix well, knead it & make soft dough [It should be soft & non sticky].
- Heat enough oil in a pan, take murukku mould plate then place it in a muruku kuzhal.
- Fill the prepared dough in a muruku kuzhal [one handful] & just press out or squeeze over the ladle & deep fry till crisp on medium hot oil.
- Flip over & fry another side.
- Once it ready or the oil sound disappears then take it out & drain on absorbent paper.
- Leave it for room temperature [Apr. 2 min]. Then store in an airtight container

Add Roasted gram flour
Add salt
Add ghee
Mix well
Add hot water, mix well
Knead it make soft dough
Murukku dough is ready
Add one handful dough into the murukku kuzhal
Squeeze over the laddle
Shape
Raw mullu murukku is ready
Heat oil, Put raw murukku
Deep fry till crisp & golden brown
Flip over, fry both sides
Crispy star chakli is ready, remove from oil
