Spongy ragi uthappam & Tomato chutney-How to make-step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Ragi flour- 1 cup
- Urad dal-1/4 cup
- Poha-1/4 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 1tbsp
Ingredients for Tomato chutney
- Tomato - 4
- Onion - 1
- Garlic - 4
- Dry red chilli - 2
- Coriander, cumin seeds 1- tbsp
- Curry leaves- 1 spring
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
- Oil - 2 tbsp
Method for making Spongy uthappam
- Wash and soak Urad dal, poha for 2 to 3 hours
- Then drain water completely
- Put it in a mixie jar, grind to fine batter
- Transfer batter to a bowl , add ragi flour, water, make thick dosa batter consistency
- Leave it for 8 hours or Overnight
- After fermentation, add water if the batter is too thick
- Heat iron tawa, pour batter, evenly spread
- Sprinkle oil, cover it cook for 2 min
- Once its ready, serve hot with chutney
Method for making Tomato chutney
- Heat oil in a pan add onion, garlic, coriander, cumin, dry red chilli, curry leaves, salt saute until soft
- Add tomato saut until soft, let it cool, then grind to smooth paste
- No seasoning required
- Once its ready, serve with uthappam
