Rava kichadi | Semolina (Sooji or suji) Khichdi

Ingredients
- White rava [Semolina] – 1 cup
- Tomato – 1 [chopped]
- Onion- 1 [sliced]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Coconut- 1 tbsp [thinly sliced or grated]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Water as needed[Aprx.2 cups]
Method
- Dry roast rava.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add Bengal gram and urad dal.
- Add onion sauté till soft then add ginger & coconut sauté. Then add green chilli, curry leaves, turmeric powder & tomato sauté till soft.
- Add water and salt mix well & let it boil. Then add dry roasted rava mix well & cover it, cook for 2 min.
- Then cut off heat & leave it for 3 min. Sprinkle coriander leaves & serve hot with chutney.
