Ingredients

  • Kambu [Pearl millet, Bajra] – 1 cup
  • Wall nuts – 2 tbsp [ghee roasted, chopped]
  • Peanuts – 2 tbsp [dry roasted & chopped]
  • Pistachio – 4
  • Coconut – ½ cup [Grated]
  • Jaggery or karupatti– ½ cup [grated]
  • Cardamom powder-1 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts – 8
  • Raisins [Kismiss] -10
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Warm water - 2 to 3 tbsp or as needed

Preparation Method

  • Dry roast pearl millet, let it cool.
  • Add pearl millet in a mixer jar & grind to fine powder.
  • Heat ghee in a pan & roast wall nuts, cashew nuts, pistachio, raisins and then chop.
  • In a bowl, add freshly ground pearl millet powder, grated coconut, wall nuts, peanuts , cashew nuts, pistachio, raisins, cardamom powder, ghee and grated jaggery mix well.
  • Drizzle enough warm water & make soft dough.
  • Take a lemon size portion and fold down with 5 fingers and press gently.
  • Steam it in an Idli cooker for 10 min & serve.
