Moong dal Carrot Puttu | Pasi paruppu carrot kuzha puttu-Kerala style

Ingredients
- Moong dal [pasi paruppu] – 1 cup
- Carrot – ½ cup [finely grated]
- Coconut – ½ cup [grated]
- Jaggery – ¼ cup
- Banana – 1 [cut into circles]
- Ghee - 1 tbsp [optional]
Method
- Wash & soak moong dal for 2 hours. Then drain water & spread over the cotton cloth to absorb extra moisture on the moong dal. Then coarsely grind.
- In a bowl add moong dal & jaggery.
- In a Puttu Kutti (Puttu making vessel easily available in the market) loosely fill moong dal mixture, carrot and coconut as layers.
- Steam it for 5 minutes. Mix ghee (Optional).
- Serve hot with Kadala curry or Banana
