Direct Method
Ingredients
- Kuthiraivali rice (Barnyard millet,jhangora) - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cup
- Salt - ¼ tsp
Preparation
- Wash and soak Kuthiraivali rice for 1/2 hour.
- Bring the water to boil.
- Add soaked millet to the boiling water. Stir occasionally.
- Cover lid & cook on medium flame.
- Check after 10 mins. Serve hot with kara kulambu or sambar.
For Pressure Cooker method
Ingredients
- Kuthiraivali rice (Barnyard millet) - 1 cup
- Water – 1 ¼ cup
- Salt - ¼ tsp
Preparation
- Dont soak kuthiraivali rice.
- Wash and pressure cook (with pinch of salt) for 3 whitle.
- Serve hot with kara kulambu or sambar.
