Kathirikai milagu varuval |Brinjal pepper fry-Best side dish for rice & millets

Ingredients
- Kathirikai[Brinjal,eggplant,baingan] – 1 cup [Cut into stripes]
- Peppercorns[Milagu] – 1 tbsp [Freshly grind]
- Garlic –3 cloves
- Red chilli powder -1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves –1 spring
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil21 tbsp
- Water as needed
Method
- Wash and slice brinjal then put it in turmeric added water
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, bengal gram & urad dal
- Add garlic, curry leaves saute
- Add brinjal saute for a min.
- Add turmeric, red chilli powder, saute for a min
- Sprinkle water, cook till soft
- Add salt and freshly ground pepper saute for a min
- Then cut off heat, serve hot with rice
