Ingredients
- Chaat chana[small chickpeas ]– 1 cup
- Green chilli – 1 [sliced]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1.5 tbsp
Preparation
- Wash and soak small chickpeas overnight.
- Then boil chickpeas with salt till soft.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds.
- Once it’s spluttered add garlic, curry leaves, asafoetida, & coconut, sauté gently.
- Then add green chilli and curry leaves.
- Then add turmeric powder,& red chilli powder
- Add boiled chickpeas saute for 2 min..
- Then Cut off heat, sprinkle coriander leaves serve hot with rice.

Wash and soak chaat chana for 8 hours / overnight
Mini chickpea
Heat pan add chickpeas & water
Boil till soft
Add salt cook for 3 min
Once its rad, cut off heat, drain water, keep it aside
Heat 1.5 tbsp oil, add mustard, garlic, green chilli
Add curry leaves
Add coconut, asafoetida
Add turmeric & red chilli powder
Add boiled chaat chana, saute for 3 min
Add coriander leaves, cut off heat
