Bedmi poori & aloo masala-How to make-step by step photos & Video

Ingredients for bedmi poori
- Urad dal - 1/4 cup
- Wheat flour - 1.5 cups
- Rava - 2.5 tbsp
- Corainder powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 /4 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Ginger & green chilli - 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Dry mango powder - 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- Water as needed
- salt to taste
Method
- Wash and soak urad dal for 3 hours
- Then completely drain water, put it in a mixie jar add ginger, green chilli.
- Finely grind with 1 tbsp water [Dont add too much water. Dont grind too fine]
- In a bowl add wheat flour, salt, urad dal paste, dry mango powder, rava, hing, turmeric, red chilli, fennel, coriander powder ,garama masala, baking soda, water, then make soft dough.
- Cover it and leave it for ½ an hour.
- Divide the dough in to equal size balls.
- Take a ball, roll it over on the flour, place it on the chapathi making stone, and Roll over chapthi roller from bottom to top, take it off and change the position.
- Repeat the process till you get the round or equivalent to round shape.
- Heat oil in a pan then deep fry. Serve hot with any aloo masala.
Ingredients for Aloo masala
- Potato - 3
- Tomato 4
- Onion - 1
- Ginger, garlic - 1tbsp
- Green chilli - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Chana dal - 1 tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Hing - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
Method
- Boil cubed potato till soft
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, hing, chana dal, urad dal, saute till light brown
- Add curry leaves, onion, gigner, garlic ,green hilli saute
- Add Potato, tomato, turmeric ,coriander, red chilli, garam masala, & salt saute till soft
- Add water, cook for 5 min
- Finally add coriander leaves, serve hot with Bedmi poori or normal poori

Add 1/4 cup urad dal
Was h2 to 3 times
Add water, soak it for 5 hours
5 hours later, drain water
Add saoked urad dal in a mixie jar
add ginger, green chilli
Add 1 tbsp water, coarsely grind
Ground urad dal ready
In a bowl add wheat flour
add rava
Add coriander powder
Add red chilli powder
Add garam masala powder
Add Amchur powder
Add salt
Add fennel powder
Add oil
Mix well
Add baking soda
Add hing
Add urad dal mixture
add water, make semi soft dough
Add 1 tbsp oil
Cover it leave it for 30 min
Divide the mixture in to equal size balls
Roll out into thick circle
Drop in in hot oil
Deep fry till crisp
Golden brown & crispy bedmi poori ready
For aloo masala
Add oil, mustard, cumin, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, hing, onion, ginger, garlic, green chilli, saute till soft
Add turmeric ,red chilli, coriander, garam masala, tomato saute till soft
Add boiled potato
Add water, cook for 5 to 8 min
Add corainder leaves, cut off heat
