Green Gram Rice | Pasi Payaru(Pachai payaru) Satham | Moong dal Rice

Ingredients
- Basmati rice - 1 cup [ Boiled ]
- Moong dal [Pachai payaru, matki dal]- ½ cup [ [Soaked and boiled]
- Onion – 1[sliced]
- Fried coconut - 2 tbsp
- Green chilli -1 [sliced]
- Ginger and garlic paste / Gigner Garlic grated -1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Clove - 1
- Bay leaf -1
- Green cardamom -1
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - ¼ tsp
- Mint - 2 to 6 leaves
- Coriander leaves - 3 to 4 leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
Preparation
- Heat oil and ghee in a pan then add cardamom, cloves, bay leaf and onion sauté till onion turns light brown.
- Add green chilli, ginger and garlic paste sauté gently then add curry leaves sauté well.
- Add boiled green gram, turmeric powder, red chilli powder mix well.
- Add garam masala, and salt mix well till raw smell out.
- Add boiled basmati rice and fried coconut mix well. Cut off heat and add chopped coriander leaves, mint and lemon juice mix well till no white rice remains. Serve hot.
