White pumpkin raita | Venpoosani Thayir Pachadi-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- White pumpkin – ½ cup [grated]
- Curd / Yogurt – 1 cup [fresh]
- Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped][optional]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Method
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chilli, ginger & curry leaves.
- Add grated white pumpkin, turmeric powder & salt saute for 5 min then cut off heat.
- Let it cool for 5 min
- Add curd mix well.
- Then Serve immediately with chapati or pulao, biryani
How to make White pumpkin raita- Step by step photos
Take 1/4 white pumpkin[Ash gourd]
Peel off the hard skin, grate
Grated pumpkin ready
Heat 1 tbsp oil, add mustard, curry leaves, green chill, ginger
Add Hing[Asafoetida]
Add grated white pumpkin
Add Turmeric[ haldi]
Add salt, Saute for 5 min
Now its ready, cut off heat, let it cool
Add curd, mix well
Now its ready
Ash gourd raita
White pumpkin raita ready, serve with roti, naan,pulav or biryani
