Sabudana upma | Sago with roasted groundnut upma

Ingredients
- Sago [sabudana, Javvarisi] – 1 cup
- Roasted groundnut - 3 tbsp [crush gently]
- Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
- Green chilli -1 [sliced]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida – a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Wash and soak sago for 20 min. Then drain water completely & leave it for 1.5 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds.
- Once it’s spluttered then add Bengal gram, urad dal sauté.
- Add onion sauté till soft. Then add green chilli, ginger and curry leaves
- Add asafoetida, and turmeric powder sauté gently.
- Add sago and sprinkle salt mix well.
- Once sago cooked add lemon juice mix well & cut off heat.
- Sprinkle crushed groundnut & coriander leaves then serve hot.
