Sweet Ragi Uppittu

Ingredients
- Ragi flour - 2 cups
- Grated coconut - ¼ cup
- Jaggery - 4 tbsp
- Green cardamom powder - ½ tsp
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Brown sugar - 3 tbsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Ghee - 3 tbsp
Preparation
- In a bowl take 2 cups of ragi flour, salt, and then sprinkle water. Mix gently with your. Once the flour is like upma like consistency then leave it for 2 min
- Spread wet cotton cloth on the idli pan’s cavity and fill with the ragi mixture and steam cook it on low flame about 10 minutes
- Check the flour consistency. Once ragi flour is cooked and color changed to darken turn off flame.
- Transfer steamed ragi flour into a bowl add jaggery, grated coconut, ghee and green cardamom powder mix well gently.
- Garnish with brown sugar, sugar, grated coconut serve immediately.
Note
- Don’t overcook ragi flour. It loses flavor.
- Make it ball shape and can be served
Tip
- Almonds, pistachios, and cashew can be added for additional texture and aroma.
