Pachai payaru masiyal | Pasi payaru kadayal | Instant one pot green gram curry

Ingredients
- Green gram [pachai payaru, matki dal] – 1 cup
- Onion – 1 [sliced]
- Garlic – 1 clove [grated]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp [chopped]
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cumin, coriander & Pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Asafoetida a pinch – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Dry roast green gram then wash.
- Heat pressure cooker add green gram, onion, garlic, green chilli, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin coriander pepper powder, mix well
- Then cover lid & pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add mustard, asafoetida, curry leaves fry.
- Add seasoned ingredients to the pressure cooked green gram, salt mix well.
- Then add coriander leaves, serve hot with rice.

- You can add toamto & vegetables
