One pot broken wheat upma-Karnataka style-How to make-step by step photos

Ingredients
- Broken wheat rava- 2 cups
- Carrot-1[cut into cubes]
- Coconut- 1 ½ inch [thinly sliced]
- Tomato - 1 [chopped]
- Onion-1[sliced]
- Green chilli-1[chopped]
- Mustard seeds-1 tbsp
- Bengal gram-1 tbsp
- Urad dal-1 tbsp
- Curry leaves- 1 spring
- Ginger-2 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Coriander leaves-2 tbsp [chopped]
- Water- 5 to 6 cups
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Method
- Heat pressure cooker add wheat rava. & 1 tbsp oil, roast till you get nice aroma or 3 min
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker add mustard seeds, Bengal gram, urad dal sauté gently.
- Add onion sauté well
- Then add ginger, coconut, green chilli, curry leaves.
- Add carrot, tomato and sauté well.
- Add water and salt and mix well.
- Add roasted wheat rava, mix well.
- Add water & salt mix well then cover lid and cook for 5 to 6 whistle.
- Then add coriander leaves mix well and serve hot with coconut chutney, pickle or chips.

Large broken wheat
Heat pressure cooker add broken wheat, 1 tbsp oil, saute for 3 min
Now its ready
Transfer roasted wheat rava to a plate
Heat 2 tbsp oil add mustard, urad dal, chana dal, onion, curry leaves
Add green chilli, ginger, carrot
Add coconut
Add tomato
Add salt, turmeric & red chilli powder
Add roasted wheat rava
Mix well
Add 6 cups of water, let it boil
Now its ready, cover lid, cook for 4 to 5 whistles
After 4 whistles, gently mix well
