How to make Hariyali sabudana khichdi video
Ingredients
- Sago [sabudana] – 1 cup
- Moong dal - 3 tbsp
- Onion -1 [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
For Paste
- Mint leaves - 3/4 cup
- Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
- Green chilli - 1
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Water as needed
- Put all ingredients in a mixer jar, coarsely grind.
Method
- Wash & Soak sago for 4 to 5 hours or over night.
- Wash and soak moong dal for 2 hours then drain water
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds.
- Once its spluttered add Bengal gram, urad dal
- Add curry leaves, onion, moong dal & asafoetida saute for 2 min
- Add ground coriander mixture, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, Saute for 2 min.
- Add sago, salt mix well then saute for 3 min
- Cover lid & cook for 5 min, Then remove lid, mix well, again cover lid & cook for 3 min
- Once sago cooked, Cut off heat then serve hot with pickle or chutney.
How to make Hariyali sago moong dal khichdi- Step by step photos
Take 1 cup sago
Add sago in a bowl wash 2 to 3 tiems
Add water, soak it for 4 to 5 hours or overnight
Soak moong dal for 2 hours then drain water, sago & moong dal ready
Add mint, coriander, ginger, salt & green chilli
Coarsely grind
Heat 2 tbsp oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal
Add asafoetida, onion, curry leaves
Add moong dal saute for 2 min
Add ground mint coriander mixture
Add turmeric and red chilli powder
Add soaked sago & salt
Saute for 3 min
Cover lid cook for 5 min to 8 min
Non-sticky hariyali sago khichdi ready
Serve hot
