How to make Kadai paneer video
Ingredients
- Paneer - 1 cup
- Cinnamon - 1/2 stick
- Green chilli - 1
- Cloves - 1
- Bay leaf - 1
- CArdamom - 2
- Onion - 1
- Capsicum - 1
- Turmeric & Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tbsp
- Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp [crushed]
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
- Sugar or honey - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Butter or ghee– 2 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Ingredients for basic gravy
- Onion - 1
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Dry red chilli -2
- Cashews - 2 tbsp
- Tomato - 4
- Heat 1 tbsp oil, add all ingredients, grind to smooth puree
Ingredients for Kadai paneer masala
- Coriander seeds - 1.5 tbsp
- Fennel - 1 tbsp
- Cumin - 1 tbsp
- Dr yred chilli -3
- Heat pan, add all ingredients, grind to smooth powder
Method
- Parboil Boil potatoes.
- Heat Oil and butter in a pan, add cinnamon stick, green chilli, bay leaves, & green cardamom.
- Then add onion sauté till raw smell out.
- Add capsicum saute for 1 min
- Add ground masala mix well
- Add ground puree, turmeric, red chilli, garam msala , mix well, let it boil for 5min
- Add sugar and salt let it boil
- Add paneer, corianderm, kasoori methi, mix well then cut off heat
- Garnish with butter and serve hot with rice, chapati, naan, idly or dosa.

Perfect kadai paneer curry
For kadai paneer masala: coriander, fennel, cumin, dry red chilli
Dry roast
Put it in a mixie jar, grind to fine or coarse powder
Powder ready
Heat pan, add 2 tbsp oil
Add onion, ginger, garlic, dry red chilli saute
Add cashews saute till soft
Add tomato, saute till soft
Put it in a mixie jar, grind to fine puree
Basic gravy ready mixture ready
Cut paneer into triangle shape or cubes
Heat 2 tbsp oil, add bay leaf, green chilli, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon
add capsicum
Add ground masala
Saute for 1 min
Add ghee
Add ground puree
Add turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masals
Add salt
Add sugar
Add coriander, kasoori methi
Add paneer, cut off heat
Restaurant style kadai paneer masala ready
Serve hot with Naan, chapathi, rice or roti
