Ingredients
- Green peas – 1 cup
- Coconut – ¼ cup
- Onion – 1 [sliced, For Navrathri-Dont add]
- Green chilli – 1 [sliced]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Tumeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Sugar a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Wash and soak green peas overnight. Then drain water & put it in pressure cooker cover it and cook for 3 whistles.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add onion sauté till soft. Then add coconut sauté.
- Then add green chilli and curry leaves. Then add turmeric, red chillli and coriander powder mix well.
- Add green peas and salt mix well. Then add sugar mix well. Cut off heat add lemon juice and coriander leaves mix well & serve hot with rice or evening tea.
