Cabbage moong dal poriyal | Muttaikose pasi paruppu poriyal

Ingredients
- Cabbage – 1 cup [grated]
- Moong dal – ¼ cup
- Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [sliced]
- Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
- Curry leaves -1 spring
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed.
Preparation
- Wash and soak moong dal for 2 hours. Then drain water.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add Bengal gram, urad dal sauté gently.
- Add onion sauté till soft. Then add green chilli and curry leaves.
- Add cabbage, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt sauté well. Add water then cook till soft.
- Add moong dal and coriander powder mix well and cook for another 2 min.
- Add coconut mix well. Then cut off heat. Serve hot with rice.
