How to make Wheat flour naan video
Dry Ingredients
- Wheat flour- 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Active dry Yeast - 1.5 tsp
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Butter - 1 inch cube
- Warm water - as needed or[Apr 300 ml]
Preparation
- In a bowl add 1 tsp active dry yeast, sugar & warm water mix well.
- Then leave it for 10 min. [You can see frothy like consistency-This is perfect]
- In another bowl add wheat flour, salt, oil mix well.
- Add activated yeast mixture mix well then knead it for 8 to 10 min to make soft dough
- Then add butter knead it for another 2 min.
- Then pour 1 tbsp oil over the dough, cover with wet cotton cloth, let it rise for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, you can see the dough is double in size
- Divide the dough into equal size balls
- Sprinkle flour then make oval shape
- Brush one side with water.
- Heat iron dosa tawa Place naan water side down, brush with melted butter, coriander leaves & kalonji seeds
- Method 1:- Once bubbles started, cook over direct flame, Method 2:- Take tawa, place it over direct flame then cook Method 3:- Grill method, Method 4:- Simple tawa cooking
How to make Wheat flour naan-Step by step photos
Perfect soft wheat flour naan
Add active dry yeast
Add 1 tbsp sugar
Add lukewarm water
Mix well, let it rise for 10 min
Activated yeast ready
In a bowl add 2 cups of wheat flour
Add 1/4 tsp baking powder
Add salt
Add 2 tbsp oil
Add activated yeast
Knead it make soft dough, add water if required
Add melted butter, knead it for 5 to 8 min
Tuck dough
Add 1 tbsp oil, evenly spread
Close it, let it rise for 2 hours
Dough is double in size
After 2 hours, knead it for 1 min
Make balls
Sprinkle flour rollout into oval shape
Brush with water
Heat iron tawa, place water side down
Brush with melted butter
Sprinkle coriander, onion seeds
Cook over direct flame

Plain naan [4 th]
Perfect Naan ready
Brush with melted butter, serve hot with any gravy
